First round out of town and instantly am reminded of how much I love this sport and this state. 1/2 hour southeast of Portland an old ball golf course cuts
through the forest and follows the beautiful Clackamas river.

A fair amount of the holes demand placement shots-getting alot of interesting
80-200 ft. approaches. This is a common discussion in the disc golf world(par
4-5 golf). Granted it is the avenue for the sport to evolve and
fortunately/unfortunately bringing it to a mainstream of growth.
First round out of town and second meeting with the Milo Beast. The courses'
greatest challenge is the scale: GRANDE. The impact immediately humbles the
idea of birdie golf. I often found myself throwing a midrange disc at a target
450 ft. away simply because it seemed fathomable. Even my putts fell short
confusing the logic of distance. It's a very interesting quality for the course
making it very challenging and respected.
McIver controls your depth perception and replaces it with raw deception. It
spins up your equilibrium then spits it downstream into Portland where you can
try your hand at Pier Park which is another walk of reasonable frustration.
